Karin's passion for working with textiles has developed over many years. She's studied numerous techniques, many of which are quite ancient, and she integrates many of them in creating her own unique works of art. Her specialty is creating flowering designs, and the effects she's able to achieve using natural materials such as wool, cotton, and leather, all combined in a swirl of different colors, textures, and patterns, is utterly amazing.

She gets inspiration from the collective work of similar artisans from throughout the ages, spanning many different cultures timeframes, and tastes. The beauty that surrounds her is another source of motivation. Her daily walks in the surrounding woods of the Black forest and the harmonious community-life encircling her little town with its 900 year old Roman church are all channels from which she draws creative strength.

The enthusiasm of her family and friends about her art craft drove her to let others participate in the beauty of her work.
