I
came to photography to explore the way in which the
various bits of our world relate to each other. For those
of you who have read philosophy, it is along the lines of
the images projected on the wall in Plato's
Republic or the use of 'Nature' instead of 'nature'
when describing what exists by writers like Spinoza.
I enjoy reading 'Oriental Tales' by Marguerite
Yourcenar for her use of imagery and eloquence.
Sometimes I meet people who are keen to explore image
making with me, by risking ourselves in creating images
there is hope that we will learn something. It is with
their help that I make many of the images on this site.
One last thing - I am keen to hear from you, sometimes I
get emails and requests to buy some of my photos - I
appreciate your thoughts and interests.
My site is for reflection and enjoyment. Though I
sometimes sell some of my photos, including to one large
corporate art collection, I consider the opportunity to
share thoughts and perspectives much more valuable. Thanks
for visiting.
